History of the iPhone
The iPhone is Apple's line of smartphones designed and marketed by Apple Inc. All generations of the iPhone only run on iOS. This is the world's first smartphone. Steve Jobs was asking them to investigate the use of touchscreen devices and tablet computers. Many have noted the iPhone will be compared to Apple's previous touch-screen portable device, Newton's MessagePad, which was released in 1993 before the first generation of the iPhone is introduced. Like the MessagePad, the iPhone is nearly all-screen.
